Getting started with Shereko

Sign in with your phone, create your first event, add guests and send personalised WhatsApp invitations in a few minutes.

Shereko helps you invite guests, collect RSVPs and contributions, and welcome people at the door, all from one place. This guide takes you from a new account to your first invitations sent.

1. Sign in with your phone number

You don't need a password. Shereko signs you in with a code sent to your WhatsApp.

  1. Go to shereko.com and tap Start free today (or Log in).
  2. Enter your Phone number and tap Send code.
  3. Open WhatsApp, copy the 6-digit code and enter it on the Enter the code screen, then tap Verify.
  4. If this is your first time, type Your name and tap Continue →. You can also tap Skip for now and add it later in Settings.

You may also be asked Where did you hear about Shereko? If someone from Shereko helped you sign up, type their name so they get the credit.

2. Find your way around

After signing in you land on the Dashboard. The menu on the left (or the bottom bar on a phone) has:

  • Dashboard: your totals for events, guests, cards sent and contributions collected.
  • Events: every event you are planning. Open one to manage it.
  • Messages: guest replies and RSVPs.
  • Contributions and Gifts: money and gift registries across all your events.
  • Reports: summaries you can download.
  • Templates: your WhatsApp message templates.
  • Settings: your profile, WhatsApp connection, credits and notifications.

3. Create your event

Tap New event on the dashboard and follow the four steps: Event type, Details, Message and Review. Then tap Create Event. See Create an event for each step.

4. Add guests and design the card

  1. On the event page, open the Guests tab and tap Add guest, or use Import to paste a whole list of numbers. See Add guests.
  2. Open the Card tab to pick a design or upload your own photo. Each guest's name fills in automatically. See Design your invitation card.
  3. Tap Test in the card editor to send a test card to your own WhatsApp and check it.

5. Send your invitations

Tap Send card (or Send cards on the event page). Shereko shows who will receive the card and the total cost before anything goes out. Confirm, and each guest gets their personal card with Coming and Can't make it RSVP buttons. See Send invitations.

What to do next

FAQ

Do I need a password?

No. Every sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your WhatsApp, so keep access to the WhatsApp number you registered with.

Can I use Shereko without the website?

Yes. The Shereko WhatsApp bot can create an event, design the card, add guests and send invitations from a WhatsApp chat. The mobile app uses the same account too.

Is creating an event free?

Yes. You only pay when you send messages or turn on paid extras such as check-in. Prices are always shown before you confirm.

Who can I contact if I'm stuck?
