When Include RSVP buttons is on, each WhatsApp invitation carries two buttons. Your guest taps one and their answer lands in your guest list straight away. No forms, no counting replies by hand.

How guests reply

The buttons on the invitation read Coming and Can't make it (in Swahili templates, Nitakuja and Siwezi kuja). Templates with a contributions button also show Contribute.

  • A tap on Coming marks the guest as coming.
  • A tap on Can't make it marks them as not coming.
  • Guests can change their mind: tapping the other button later updates their answer.

Guests can also answer from their personal event link (the contribution or gift page they receive). The page asks Will you be attending? with I'll be there and Can't make it, and a Change link if they want to switch.

See who is coming

On the event page:

  • The panel next to your card shows [number] of [number] have replied with a bar split into Yes, No and No reply.
  • The RSVP yes tile at the top counts everyone who said yes. Tap it to filter the guest table.
  • In the Guests table, use the quick filters: RSVP yes, Can't come, No reply yet and Checked in.
  • The RSVP column shows Coming, Can't come or No reply for each guest. A small WhatsApp icon means the guest replied with the WhatsApp button.

Read replies

Open Messages › Replies on the event to see each guest's conversation: the cards you sent, their delivery status, and the RSVP answers that came back. You can search by name, phone or message.

The Messages page in the main menu shows conversations across all your events.

Automatic thank-you reply

Want guests who say yes to get a thank-you straight away? Open the event's Settings and turn on Automatic thank-you reply. When a guest taps "Nitakuja", they get one thank-you message with their entry card.

  • It is off by default.
  • It is charged per guest who confirms, from your wallet. The price is shown next to the switch.
  • If your balance is too low, no reply is sent. The setting shows how many were sent and how many were skipped.

Follow up with guests who have not replied

  1. In the Guests table, tap the No reply yet filter.
  2. Tick the guests, or open Messages › Messages and choose + New WhatsApp send.
  3. Choose Reminder, pick an approved reminder template and send. See Send invitations.

On WhatsApp, you can also type HAKUNA JIBU (NOREPLY) to the Shereko bot to get the list. See The WhatsApp bot.

FAQ

A guest tapped a button but the table still says No reply. Why?

Refresh the page. If it still has not changed, the guest may have typed a text reply instead of tapping a button; typed replies do not change the RSVP. Ask them to tap the button on the invitation or use their personal link.

Can I change a guest's RSVP myself?

The RSVP follows the guest's own answer. If a guest tells you by phone, send them a reminder so they can tap the button, or share their personal link.

Does the RSVP button cost extra?

No. The buttons are part of the WhatsApp invitation at no extra cost. Only the optional automatic thank-you reply is charged.

Can guests bring a plus-one?

Guests with a double card type (Double ticket) can bring one other person. Set card types in the guest table. At the door, a double ticket lets two people in.
