The Shereko mobile app

The Shereko app puts your events in your pocket. It uses the same account as the website, so every event, guest and balance you already have is there when you sign in.

Install the app

• Android: search for "Shereko" on Google Play, or open shereko.com/app on your phone.
• iPhone: the iPhone app is on its way to the App Store. Until it's available, use shereko.com in Safari; everything works in the browser.

Sign in

1. Open the app and enter your Phone number, the same one you use on the website.
2. Tap Send code. A 6-digit code arrives on your WhatsApp.
3. Tap Copy code in WhatsApp, come back to the app and enter it (or tap Paste code), then tap Verify.

You don't need a separate account or password.

Find your way around

The bar at the bottom has four places:

• Events: every celebration you're planning. Tap New event to create one, or open an event to manage it.
• Inbox: guest replies and RSVPs as they come in.
• Scan: go straight to check-in. Pick the event and start scanning guests' QR codes.
• Settings: your Balance and Add credit, Language, Notifications, Contact us on WhatsApp, Help and legal, and Sign out.

Inside an event you'll find Guests (list, RSVPs, sending invites), Check-in, Replies, Contributions, Gift registry, Card, Moments and more under Event tools.

Check guests in at the door

The app turns your phone into a door scanner:

1. Open the event and tap Check-in, or tap Scan in the bottom bar.
2. If check-in isn't on yet, tap Turn on check-in. It's a one-time fee per event, paid from your balance, and the price is shown before you confirm.
3. Tap Open scanner and point the camera at the QR code on the guest's WhatsApp card. Their name and details appear instantly.

Notifications

Allow notifications when the app asks, and you'll be alerted about new RSVPs, contributions, your balance and new Moments photos. You can turn them off from Settings → Notifications. If they're blocked, the app shows a shortcut to your phone's settings.

What still happens on the web

A few things are easier on a big screen and stay on shereko.com, such as setting up the gift registry and connecting your own WhatsApp Business. Guest pages (invitation cards, payment links, gift lists and Moments uploads) always open on the web, so guests never need the app.

When you tap a shereko.com link to one of your events on Android, it opens in the app if it's installed.

FAQ

Do I need the app to use Shereko?

No. Everything works on shereko.com in any browser, and you can also use the WhatsApp bot. The app is the easiest way to scan guests at the door.

Do my guests need the app?

No. Guests receive their card on WhatsApp or SMS and use web pages to RSVP, contribute or upload photos.

I signed in but can't see my events. Why?

Check that you used the same phone number as on the website. Each number is a separate account.

The code didn't arrive. What should I do?

Make sure the number has WhatsApp, wait for the countdown, then tap Resend code. If it still doesn't arrive, tap Change number to check for typing mistakes.
