Getting started
How do I create my first event?
Sign in with your phone number, tap Create event in your dashboard, and fill in the title, date and venue. Then add guests one-by-one or upload a CSV.
How do guests receive the invitation?
When you tap Send, each guest gets a personalised WhatsApp card (or SMS fallback) with their name and event details. They can RSVP with a single tap.
Payments and Contributions
Which payment methods are supported?
Halopesa, Airtel Money, Mixx by Yas for Tanzania. Card payments via Stripe for international guests.
How fast do Contributions reach my wallet?
Mobile-money contributions reflect within minutes after the operator confirms the payment. Card payments may take a few hours to settle.
WhatsApp Business
Do I need my own WhatsApp Business account?
No. You can use the Shereko shared WABA out of the box. To reply to guests directly, connect your own WhatsApp Business or request our branded setup from Settings.
Why can't I see guest replies?
Replies are routed back to whichever WhatsApp number sent the card. If you used the shared WABA, replies stay with our support team. Connect your own WABA to receive them in your inbox.
WhatsApp Bot
How does the SHIRIKI group link work?
The bot generates a unique link for you to share in your WhatsApp group. Guests tap it, give the bot their name, and are added to your guest list. Their card is held until you review the list and type SHIRIKI TUMA to send.
What if the link gets shared outside my group?
Each link has a limit (default 200 guests) and expires after 72 hours. You can also close it immediately by texting KATA SHIRIKI to the bot. Anyone who taps after the limit or expiry gets a polite rejection.
How do I see who joined via the link before sending?
Text SHIRIKI ORODHA to see the full list of guests who joined but haven't received their card yet. Then type SHIRIKI TUMA to send their cards, or remove unwanted names from the web dashboard first.
Can I get a new link after the old one expires?
Yes. Text SHIRIKI again from the bot and you'll get a fresh link with a new 72-hour window.
I added guests via contact cards — what's the difference?
Contact cards (WhatsApp's built-in contact share) add guests immediately from your phone contacts. The group link lets guests add themselves. Both end up in the same guest list; you confirm and send in one go.
The bot asked me to fill in a dress code — why?
The WhatsApp template you chose for your invitations includes a dress code field. The bot needs it before sending. If you don't have one yet, type SKIP to skip it.
